It has been approximately twenty months since I last served this nation, following my retirement from the office of President in January 2025. Today, as I once again take upon myself the solemn responsibility of serving this country by assuming the charge of its foreign affairs, I find myself filled not merely with honour, but first and foremost with a profound sense of responsibility and solemn apprehension. I am deeply conscious of the immense weight borne upon my shoulders: the security of our nation, the national interest of Renostopia, and the honour of the Great Renostopian State.
From 2024, during my tenure as President, through the constitutional revision of August 2026, Renostopia has devoted itself to the pursuit of practical institutional reform grounded in the principles of Gwanghwaism. In doing so, however, we have inevitably suffered a partial loss of our traditionally maintained position as a leading diplomatic power among the micronations of East Asia. Moreover, in recent times, we have even failed to adequately perceive the diplomatic instability within the micronational community extending throughout and beyond the Korean Peninsula.
Having witnessed these circumstances, I resolved once more to devote myself to the foreign affairs of Renostopia. Accordingly, during the closing days of the Second Ahn-ro Baek Cabinet, I was appointed Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and thereby returned to public service.
Renostopia now stands at a moment of profound consequence. The temporary withdrawal from public office of former President Jeong-yeon Kim and former Prime Minister Ahn-ro Baek, both of whom had carried great responsibilities for our nation, together with the tensions between the Japanese micronational sphere of East Asia and the Western micronational sphere, as well as the entry of GUM into a period of stagnation in its pan-organisation activities, makes it difficult to say that the circumstances surrounding us are particularly favourable.
Yet we must not overlook what we have accomplished. Over the past two years, we have already completed and brought into practice what may be regarded as some of the foremost theoretical achievements within the micronational community. Upon this firm internal foundation that we have constructed, Renostopia is now once again in a position to rise as a leading power of the East Asian micronational community.
To attain and preserve such an honourable record of achievement, however, the role of our diplomatic establishment, which has received comparatively less attention over the past two years, must once again be accorded the importance it deserves.
It is amid this historic circumstance that I have been entrusted with the solemn office of Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Cabinet of His Excellency Prime Minister Jun-min Park, the first Prime Minister of Renostopia to come from outside the Renostopian Nationalist Party (RNP).
As the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of a truly democratic Renostopia to emerge beyond the traditional RNP-centred administrative order, I shall, together with His Excellency the Prime Minister and the members of the National Congress, set forth the foreign policy of our nation upon two firm foundations: our steadfast conviction in the principles of Gwanghwaism, and the rational diplomatic course that Renostopia has pursued throughout its history.
On these foundations, Our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and I shall endeavour to reclaim and firmly consolidate the overwhelming influence of the Great Renostopian State upon the diplomatic stage of the East Asian and Western micronational communities, and ultimately upon the wider world of micronational affairs.
